Taiyo Oil provided its support for the 50th Ehime Marathon, held in Matsuyama City in Ehime Prefecture on February 5.
It was a fine, early spring day when 7,352 runners from both inside and outside Ehime Prefecture gathered at the starting point of the marathon.
Taiyo Oil had a tasting area set up for runners and spectators near the finish line stage available with “Zokkon” natural spring water sold by Taiyo Oil Sales Co., Ltd.. A water stop was also set up at the Taiyo Oil-affiliated Self Hojo SS (Service Station, run by Taiyo Oil Sales Co., Ltd.) near the 10 km marker, providing runners and spectators with warm drinks and flags to wave, in a show of support for the Ehime Marathon.
Taiyo Oil will continue to be active in providing support for sporting activities such as this event, as part of efforts to increase interest in athletics and to boost the economy of the local area.
