"Sun(Taiyo)-nurtured Forest of Ino Town,Kochi"; Taiyo Oil organizes 5th Forest Regeneration Volunteer Activities

Taiyo Oil organized "Sun(Taiyo)-nurtured forest of Ino Town", the 5th Forest Regeneration Volunteer Activities on Saturday, November 27 in Ino town. The task on this occasion was to thin the forests of sugi Japanese cedar and hinoki Japanese cypress.

Participants learned that thinning helps sunlight penetrate into the forest to promote the growth of trees and enhance the latent water retention capability of afforested land. They also gained a further appreciation of the importance of nature through close contact with it.

Taiyo Oil has concluded a partnership agreement with Kochi Prefecture and Ino Town for the "Project of Collaborative Forest Restoration with Environmentally Progressive Companies" and carries out forest volunteer activities under that agreement. Taiyo Oil will continue to promote forest regeneration activities.
