SOLATO Ehime Mandarin Pirates Baseball School

The SOLATO Ehime Mandarin Pirates Baseball School, cosponsored by Taiyo Oil, was held at the Matsuyama Municipal Horie Elementary School sports field on Sunday, December 19, 2010.

Participating in this year's baseball School were 218 children, up to and including 5th grade elementary school from within Ehime Prefecture as well as other prefectures, in 67 teams, as part of the "16th Horie Taikyoki, Takashi Nishimoto Cup Competition Children's Softball Tournament".

The participating elementary school students listened intently to the coaching provided by three Ehime Mandarin Pirates players, as well as trainers, staff and special guest pitcher Masato Nishikawa of the Orix Buffaloes.
An autograph session held after the baseball School also generated much excitement.

Taiyo Oil will continue to present sports Schools for children as part of regional action programs.
