Taiyo Oil Receives Certificate of Appreciation as part of Kochi Prefecture's "Collaborative Forest Restoration with Environmentally Progressive Companies"

Taiyo Oil received a Certificate of Appreciation as part of Kochi Prefecture's "Collaborative Forest Restoration with Environmentally Progressive Companies" at the Kochi Prefecture "Collaborative Forest Forum" held on October 21, 2011 (Fri).

Taiyo Oil has participated in Kochi Prefecture's "Collaborative Forest Restoration with Environmentally Progressive Companies" program since November 2006, and the forest managed by the company has been dubbed the "Sun(Taiyo)-nurtured Forest of Ino Town". Chiefly run by volunteer staff from Taiyo Oil, a range of environmental volunteer activities such as thinning of trees and planting of seedlings, and hands-on sessions related to nature, have been conducted within the forest.
The Certificate of Appreciation is awarded to companies that have been involved in the program for their fifth year, and that have made valuable contributions to the regeneration of forests within Kochi Prefecture.

As a company that manufactures and sells petroleum products, Taiyo Oil will continue to implement forest conservation and regeneration activities.
