What are "Collaborative Forest Restoration with Environmentally Progressive Companies"?

Kochi Prefecture, which has the greatest area of woodlands of any prefecture in Japan, launched its Collaborative Forest Restoration Project in 2005, using the "Power of the Forest" mark as its symbol. The goal of the Project is a major revival of the "power of the forest" through activities such as periodic thinning and tree planting, that promote CO2 absorption and foster water sources.
