The SOLATO Ehime Mandarin Pirates Baseball School, sponsored by Taiyo Oil, was held in the indoor arena at Matsuyama Central Park (Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture) on December 14th.
Sixty three children (from three junior high schools, consisting of one team as well as individual participants) participated in this Baseball School, which focused on baseball clubs of junior high schools around Ehime Prefecture.
Each of the junior high school students who participated were placed into groups based on their fielding position (infielder, outfielder, pitcher, or catcher) where they were taught with zeal by the Ehime Mandarin Pirates. In addition, commemorative photos with the baseball players and “SOLATO-kun,” Taiyo Oil’s brand character, were taken after the Baseball School.
Taiyo Oil will continue to present sports Schools for children as part of regional action programs.
