On Tuesday, May 26, Taiyo Oil’s Shikoku Operations (Hiroshi Morohara, General Manager) donated two wheelchairs to the Social Welfare Council of Imabari City at the organization’s General Welfare Center of Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture.
Since 2001, Shikoku Operations has been collecting and recycling pull-tabs used for aluminum cans through its volunteer aluminum collection activities. The funds received through these activities allow Shikoku Operations to donate wheelchairs to help support social welfare in Imabari City. Approximately 10 tons of aluminum has been collected by employees and participating companies since the activities were started, resulting in the donation of a total of 13 wheelchairs.
Taiyo Oil will continue activities in which it is able to contribute to the welfare of the local community.
