2016 Ehime FC SOLATO Cup U-10 at Rainbow Highland

Taiyo Oil held the 2016 Ehime FC SOLATO Cup U-10 at Rainbow Highland in Matsuyama City from Saturday, December 10 to Sunday, December 11.
This event was held for elementary school children of fourth-grade or younger. A total of 16 teams from 5 prefectures engaged in fierce football competition.
In the final game, DESAFIO (Kagawa Prefecture) played against Matsuyama Soccer School (Ehime Prefecture). In the first half, DESAFIO took the lead with two goals. In the second half, Matsuyama Soccer School made bold attacks, but these were blocked by DESAFIO’s strong defense, and DESAFIO won 2-0. DESAFIO also won the tournament before last.
A trophy and medals were awarded to the winning team and the second-place team. All participating players received the gift of an official T-shirt.
Taiyo Oil will continue to present sports events and training sessions of this kind, in order to help foster children's interest in sports and development of a sound mind in a healthy body.

16 teams (with 12 to 16 players per team)

Tournament Format

• First day of the tournament: Teams played against other teams in their same group (four teams assigned to four groups) (wins: 3 games, draws: 1 game, losses: 0 games)
• A consolation final took place on the second day of the tournament
• ​Three-a-side penalty kicks were held in the case of a draw. (If the kicks between two teams of three ended in a draw, a further number of kicks were made until one team scored more than the other.)
