Taiyo Oil set up a booth at the “Imabari ABC (Ebisu) Festival,” which was held on March 3 (Sat.) and 4 (Sun.) in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture.
This event is aimed at promoting the development of the area, and it has been held since 2012 around the same time of year as the “Ebisu-gire” and “Ebisu-ichi” festivals in the downtown part of Imabari. The “ABC” in the Japanese name refers to “screen images (A-zou), the B-1 Grand Prix, and characters,” and events take place focused on these themes. Each year, several dozen thousand people visit this festival.
Taiyo Oil had SOLATO-kun appear in the event as a local character, and like the previous year, the Taiyo Oil booth carried out fund-raising activities related to the “Donation for Children of Fukushima Affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.”
The funds from this activity, which amounted to 81,075 yen, were provided to Fukushima Prefecture on March 9 (Fri.).
Going forward, Taiyo Oil will continue to carry out initiatives to help people who are experiencing hardships through participation in events such as these in the future.

This is a donation set up by Fukushima Prefecture in order to enable children who lost their parents as a result of the Great East Japan Earthquake and children who had to move away from where they were accustomed to living due to the nuclear emergency, to steadily move forward without giving up on the dreams they had prior to the earthquake disaster.
The funds raised for the “Donation for Children of Fukushima Affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake” are deposited in the prefecture’s “Great East Japan Earthquake Children’s Support Fund” and are utilized for the support of children, as well as for projects consisting of initiatives aimed at enabling children to have a bright future.
