In March of this year, Taiyo Oil provided support through the Regional Revitalization Tax System (Corporate Hometown Tax Donation Program). This initiative is intended to promote coexistence with local communities by supporting municipalities with which we have close ties through our business activities in addressing the challenges they face.
Presentation ceremonies for the donations were recently held in Okinawa Prefecture and Nishihara Town, where Okinawa Operations is located. Taiyo Oil was represented at the ceremonies by President and CEO Takahiro Yamamoto, Executive Officer Takahiro Ishizuka, General Manager of Okinawa Operations Hirofumi Tome, and other attendees, who presented certificates of donation to the Governor of Okinawa Prefecture and the Mayor of Nishihara Town.
In Okinawa Prefecture, the donation was used to fund the operation of the Children's Future Lunch Support Program, which provides food and other supplies to children’s cafeterias, thereby helping to create an environment in which children can grow up healthy and with peace of mind. In Nishihara Town, the donation was used for a wide range of initiatives under the Project to Create an Attractive Community, aimed at strengthening local disaster preparedness and establishing a safe foundation for residents’ daily lives.
Taiyo Oil will work together with local communities to take on challenges and deepen its relationships as a partner striving together to build a better society, while continuing to contribute to local communities through its business activities.
